Signet Jewelers,a diamond jewelry retailer, reported fiscal Q4 adjusted EPS of $4.03, up from $3.63 in the same period a year ago and topping the estimate of $4.00 from analysts polled by CapIQ.
Total revenues in the quarter ended Jan. 28 were $2.27 billion down from $2.39 billion in the same period a year ago and missed the Street projection of $2.3 billion. Same store sales declined 4.5%. For full year 2017 the company expects EPS in a range of $7.00 to $7.40, short of the Street estimate of $7.73. Same store sales are expected to be down by a low-to-mid single-digit percentage.
