American depository receipts of European stocks were 0.01% lower at 127.41 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Tuesday morning. Decliners in Continental Europe were led by VimpelCom – Com (VIP), a Dutch provider of telecommunications services, 2.4% lower, followed by Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (ERIC), a provider of infrastructure, services and software to the telecommunication industry, down by 1.8% and Orange (ORAN), a French telecommunication services company, 1.1% lower. Materialise (MTLS), a Belgian provider of 3D printing software and services, was 0.8% lower. In the UK, low-cost airline Ryanair (RYAAY) was 1.6% lower, followed by Lloyds Banking Group (LYG), down by 0.9% and Vodafone (VOD), a mobile communications company, 0.8% lower. AstraZeneca (AZN), a biopharmaceutical company, was 0.7% lower.
Gainers in Continental Europe were led by TiGenix (TIG), a Belgium-based biopharmaceutical company, 4.2% higher, followed by Oasmia Pharmaceutical (OASM), a Sweden-based pharmaceutical company, up by 2.5% and Deutsche Bank – Global Registered Shares (DB), 1.5% higher. Nabriva Therapeutics (NBRV), an Austria-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, was 1.2% higher.
